To have an online video visit, you'll need a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Your device must have a working camera and microphone and a strong Wi-Fi signal or cellular data service. Mobile devices must be capable of downloading and installing applications.

Urgent care video visits
With an urgent care video visit, you can video chat with a Children's Wisconsin urgent care doctor to obtain the care and advice your child needs for many conditions, including COVID-19. Urgent care video visits are available 6 a.m. – 10 p.m. for children ages 0-17. These visits are available for new or existing patients. Learn more and get started with urgent care video visits.
Primary care or specialty care video visits
Use scheduled video visits to connect with your child’s primary care or specialty care doctor over live video. Ask your child’s doctor if a video visit is a good option for your child. Scheduled video visits require a MyChart account.

Are video visits safe and secure?
Yes. Children's Wisconsin uses secure technologies for all video visits. We use special tools to keep your information safe and protected.
Does my child need to be with me during the video visit?
Yes. Your child must be present and near you for the entire video visit.
Are prescriptions provided during a video visit?
If you require a prescription, your provider will send your prescription to your preferred pharmacy. Narcotics will not be prescribed during video visits.
Can my teenager have a video visit?
Yes. Patients under 18 must have an adult present during their video visit.
I have a video visit scheduled with my child's doctor. Where can I find instructions on how to join?

Who will provide my care during a video visit?
Video visits are similar to an office visit. They will last about the same amount of time and go over the same information. Medical assistants may help gather information, just like an office visit, before meeting with your provider.
