Each site allows you to reserve a spot online, and you will know the current wait time for each site. We strive to limit our wait times for all our patients and allowing families to reserve a spot has allowed us to continue to provide quality care in a timely fashion.

You do not have to reserve a spot to be seen though. We also see patients who walk-in to our clinics. We use a triage system much like what is used in emergency departments to determine which patients need to be seen most urgently.

What if I Don’t Live Near a Children’s Wisconsin Clinic With Urgent Care?

We provide urgent care video visits from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily and you can easily schedule a video visit through our website.

If your child is 0-17 years of age, has a condition that can be treated with a video visit, is physically with you and you are located in the state of Wisconsin at the time of your visit, we can see your child with a video visit on your computer, smartphone or tablet.

Video visits are best suited for children who don’t need a provider to physically see them to diagnose or treat their condition. For example, we cannot diagnose ear infections with a video visit because we cannot see the ear drum with just an external exam. However, for things like pink eye, rashes and minor cuts or injuries, a video visit might be appropriate. If we see your child for a video visit but think they need to be seen in-person at one of our urgent care locations or our Emergency Department, we will help facilitate that visit.

How Do I Know if My Child Can Be Seen at Your Urgent Care?

Our website and mobile app includes a symptom checker that can help you decide what is going on with your child and includes information on conditions that can be treated in urgent care. It also includes information on conditions that may be better served in an emergency department.

We treat minor fractures, lacerations and injuries. In addition, we treat mild illnesses like urinary tract infections, pink eye, ear infections, rashes, vomiting, diarrhea and mild breathing issues.

Can You Take Labs or X-rays?

We can obtain X-rays and labs. The labs we obtain are limited based on the conditions that are most common in our pediatric urgent care settings. We do not perform ultrasounds, CT scans, MRIs or specialized laboratory testing. We do routinely perform rapid strep, flu,COVID-19, RSV and urine testing.
