Durable Tubes
A durable tube is a safe way to give your child nutrition when they need extra help with feedings. While the tube provides most of your child’s calories, our team also supports the growth of oral feeding skills. Over time, many children are able to move toward full oral feeds. When your child is ready, the durable tube can be removed.

Temporary Tubes
Temporary tubes include NG tubes and NJ tubes. An NG tube (nasogastric tube) goes through your child’s nose and down into the stomach. It’s used when kids need help getting enough nutrition but can still safely have food go into their stomach. An NJ tube (nasojejunal tube) also goes through the nose, but goes into the small intestine. NJ tubes are used when feeding directly into the stomach isn’t safe or doesn’t work well, like if a child has reflux or trouble keeping food down.
