General Pediatric Cardiology

The Herma Heart Institute at Children's Wisconsin treats patients with expert care for common and complex concerns.

Children are referred to pediatric cardiologists at the Herma Heart Institute for many reasons, including heart murmurs, chest pain, irregular heartbeats and syncope (or fainting). While this understandably raises concern for parents, a referral to one of our experts does not necessarily mean your child has a serious heart condition. Often, our physicians are able to reassure parents that their child's condition is minor or needs no follow-up treatment.
