About
Dr. Emma Austenfeld, MD, MPH is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin and a Pediatric Rheumatologist at Children's Wisconsin. She joined the faculty after completing both her pediatrics residency and pediatric rheumatology fellowship at MCW. Dr. Austenfeld enjoys her work in pediatric rheumatology because of the opportunities it provides to build meaningful partnerships with families to provide exceptional patient care. She also dedicates time to educating medical students and pediatric residents about pediatric rheumatology to help training physicians improve their understanding of these rare conditions. She completed additional training in the KINETIC3 Teaching Academy during her fellowship to develop her skills in medical education research. Dr. Austenfeld has also been a leader in quality improvement projects to enhance the efficiency and standard of care provided in the pediatric rheumatology clinic.
