About
Dr. Shayne Fehr joined Children’s Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) in 2011. He is board-certified in both Sports Medicine and Pediatrics. His fellowship training in Sports Medicine at the University of Colorado was focused on young athletes and also included training in musculoskeletal ultrasound and injections. He is a member of multiple professional sports medicine organizations and presents his research nationally on regular basis.
Dr. Fehr is an associate professor of Pediatric Orthopaedics at MCW. His position at MCW involves teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in clinic and at sporting events. He has written multiple book chapters and journal articles related to sports medicine and orthopaedics. His practice at the Children’s Wisconsin mainly involves the care young athletes with sports-related injuries, including overuse injuries, sprains/strains, fractures, and concussions. He incorporates musculoskeletal ultrasound into his daily practice and uses ultrasound guidance for injections.

Dr. Fehr was fantastic. Definitely an expert in his field, very friendly, and gave great suggestions for next steps in my son's treatment. Highly recommend Dr. Fehr!

He was amazing!! Very thorough. He also spoke to my son and included him in the discussion. Explained things to my son, as well as myself. His bedside manner is fantastic and you can tell he truly cares about his patients. I appreciate him taking the time to talk through the images and through questions I had. He was present in the moment, treating my son as a person vs another patient to check off the list.

This was an amazing experience. They talked my daughter through what to expect before the procedure and what was happening throughout. She was extremely nervous but they were patient and worked to ease her fears.

Dr Fehr and his team were amazing, explained everything throughly and talked to my teenager son at his level to ensure he understood the results and recommendations.
