About
I am a board certified pediatric cardiologist and internist. I am a pediatric interventional cardiologist and I devote a significant amount of my time to performing diagnostic and therapeutic catheter based procedures on infants, children and adults with congenital heart disease. I have a special interest in managing patients with atrial septal defects, patent ductus arteriosus, aortic valve stenosis, pulmonary valve stenosis, pulmonary valve insufficiency and coarctation of the aorta. I also care for infants, children and adolescents with general pediatric cardiology problems including the evaluation and treatment of heart murmurs, chest pain and syncope.
I am interested in research to advance the catheter based treatment of infants, children and adults with congenital heart disease. I direct the quality improvement efforts in the catheterization laboratory. I am a member and leader of the C3PO-R3 pediatric interventional cardiology national registry to improve quality and outcomes in the catheterization laboratory. I am a strong advocate for patients and families, and work closely with a child's pediatrician and parents to provide the best and most informed care possible.
