About
As a pediatric neuropsychologist, I work with children and families to understand how a child’s brain is affecting the way they think, learn, behave, and manage their emotions. Through partnering with families and their medical teams, I aim to identify a child’s personal strengths and challenges as well as developing ways to support them at home, at school, and in their medical care. I take a patient- and family-centered, as well contextual approach in my evaluations, recognizing that a child’s functioning is shaped by their development, medical history, and the various environments in which they live and learn. I provide evaluations for children ranging from early childhood to late adolescence with a wide range of medical and neurological conditions. Within this broad population, I have a particular focus and expertise in the neuropsychological effects of acquired brain injury and conditions where the immune system affects the brain and nervous system.
My research background centered on how environmental influences and brain mechanisms relate to emotional well-being in adolescents. My current interests include understanding how differences in thinking skills relate to emotional functioning across children with different medical conditions, improving outcomes for youth recovering from acute injuries, and better understanding the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral effects of conditions involving interactions between the immune system and the brain.

Ratings and Reviews
Why doesn't this provider have ratings?
At Children's, you can expect the very best care and service from all our providers — but not all will have ratings or reviews displayed online, for a few possible reasons.
The provider may:
- Not have received the minimum number of reviews (to ensure accuracy, we require a minimum of 30 patient surveys before we develop each provider's rating)
- Care for patients only as part of a team
- Not see Children's Wisconsin patients
