WHA Advocacy Day 2026
On February 25, nearly 200 Children’s Wisconsin advocates, including Children’s leaders, providers, staff and patient families traveled to Madison to participate in the annual Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA) Advocacy Day. This was record-breaking attendance for Children’s Wisconsin. Children’s advocates met with state lawmakers to discuss important health care priorities for hospitals across the state, including improved Medicaid reimbursement for providers and partnering to support the health care workforce.
This year, Children’s Wisconsin was honored to receive the WHA Advocacy All-Star Award which is given to a hospital or health system that exemplifies a commitment to grassroots advocacy in support of all hospitals in Wisconsin. This award is a recognition of Children’s commitment to advocacy as part of our mission: working together to lend our expertise, sharing our stories and raising our voices.
