Chorus Community Health Plans (CCHP), an affiliate of Children’s Wisconsin, has expanded its services to 68 of the 72 counties in Wisconsin, a major step forward in its work to be available throughout the state.

“High-quality health care coverage focused on whole-person and long-term wellness is rare and we are excited that more people will be able to benefit from it through better access,” said Mark Rakowski, President of CCHP. “At Chorus, we truly believe that health insurance has the power to change lives and are proud that we have been supporting families for the past 20 years. This expansion will allow us to positively impact more individuals and communities across the state.”

While members began benefitting from this expansion right away in 2026, the team at CCHP has been working behind the scenes to make it possible for the past year. Ultimately, this work supports the Children’s Wisconsin vision that Wisconsin’s kids will be the healthiest in the nation. Continuing to advance that vision and the CCHP strategic plan, the team is working with providers and health systems to increase the service area to the remaining four Wisconsin counties located on the western edge of the state — Burnett, Pierce, Polk and St. Croix — for 2027.

Previous counties covered: Adams, Brown, Calumet, Columbia, Crawford, Dane, Dodge, Door, Eau Claire, Fond Du Lac, Grant, Green, Green Lake, Iowa, Jefferson, Juneau, Kenosha, Kewaunee, Lafayette, Manitowoc, Marinette, Marquette, Menominee, Milwaukee, Oconto, Outagamie, Ozaukee, Portage, Racine, Richland, Rock, Sauk, Shawano, Sheboygan, Vernon, Walworth, Washington, Waukesha, Waupaca, Waushara and Winnebago.

Additional counties covered with this expansion: Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Buffalo, Chippewa, Clark, Douglas, Dunn, Florence, Forest, Iron, Jackson, La Crosse, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Monroe, Oneida, Pepin, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, Taylor, Trempealeau, Vilas, Washburn and Wood.

CCHP is an insurance organization dedicated to providing its members access to the highest quality health care and supportive services in collaboration with providers and community partners. CCHP has more than 100,000 members participating in the BadgerCare Plus program, and nearly 3,000 youth in foster care through the Care4Kids program. Services provided through CCHP are customized to meet the unique needs of individual adults, children and family members and help empower them to take charge of their health and wellness.

For the past 20 years, CCHP has grown to support more children and families across Wisconsin. It started as a small health plan covering only a few counties and individuals, but it was built on the strong belief that everyone deserves good, dependable health care. Over time, CCHP added new programs, like Care4Kids, and worked with many providers, clinics and community groups to make sure families could get the care and support they need.

Today, CCHP has a large team working with partners across the state to help people stay healthy in many ways, from medical and dental care to support with housing and food. As CCHP expands to 68 counties and continues working toward serving the whole state, the mission stays the same: Help Wisconsin’s children and families live healthier, stronger lives.
