Dr. Kevin Dahlman Named Senior Vice President and President of Primary Care

Dr. Kevin Dahlman Announced as Senior Vice President and President of Primary CareChildren's Wisconsin has named Kevin Dahlman, MD, MBA, FAAP, as President of Primary Care. In the role, Dr. Dahlman will lead primary care and urgent care operations, which includes overseeing quality and safety, patient experience and team member engagement. In addition, he’ll advance community partnerships and advocacy efforts that improve children's health. 

A board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Dahlman brings more than 17 years of clinical and executive leadership experience. As a Medical Director, he helped design and implement innovative pediatric care models, strengthened collaboration across care teams and played a key role in expanding the pediatric workforce. 

“Dr. Dahlman brings an exceptional combination of clinical expertise and health care system leadership, as well as a commitment to children and families,” said Gil Peri, President and CEO of Children's Wisconsin. “His collaborative style, commitment to team development and life-long dedication to mission-driven pediatric care are a strong fit with our culture and vision.” 

Dr. Dahlman completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin Medical School and his pediatric internship and residency at Children’s Wisconsin. Later, he earned a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management at the University of St. Mary.

“I'm honored to take on this leadership role at Children’s Wisconsin,” said Dr. Dahlman. “My residency at Children's Wisconsin helped shape who I am as a pediatrician. I look forward to working with our providers and community partners to continue expanding access to the high-quality pediatric care for which Children’s Wisconsin is known.” 

Dr. Dahlman currently holds academic appointments, which include Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Clinical Adjunct Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Dahlman also is active as an Advisory Board member for Children’s Health Alliance of Wisconsin and on the boards of Camp Timber-Lee and University School of Milwaukee.
