Knowing that everyone grieves differently, we offer a variety of services to help support and facilitate healthy grief. It is important for you to know you are not alone.

Explore our four support groups offered by Children's Wisconsin and register for one or many. All our programming is free.
It is with sadness that we at Children's Wisconsin extend our sympathy to you. We know there are no words that can take away your pain. Be gentle and patient with yourself.
Infant and Child Loss Support Group
A support group for parents that have experienced the death of an infant or child. This group is offered year-round on the third Monday of the month from 6:30 - 8:00pm. This group meets both virtually and in-person.
S.O.U.L. Young Adult Support Group
A support group for young adults, aged 18-29, who have experienced a death. This group is offered year round on the second Wednesday of the month from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. This group meets virtually.
Grief Haven
A support group for children/teens ages 5 – 18 and their adults/caregivers. Participants engage in age-specific activities and discussions to process and express their grief while connecting with other who get it. They also receive grief education, positive strategies, and life-long tools. This group meets the first and third Tuesdays of the month from 6:00 – 7:30pm in the fall and spring.
Facebook Grief Resource Group
This is a private Facebook group for parents and guardians of children who have died. To join the Facebook group, please search for “Children’s Wisconsin Grief Resource Group” on Facebook and ask to be a friend.

Throughout the year, workshops are offered for both adults and children. These workshops can help families and individuals understand the grief process, manage the effects of grief, and offer support during the healing process.

Grieving Through the Holidays Workshop
Dreading the Holidays? Join us for a 90 minute workshop to gain tips and ideas for how to manage the holidays while grieving the death of your loved one.

Redwood Family Retreat
The Redwood Family Retreat is for families who have experienced any significant death. All family members, infant through adult, are invited to attend this overnight retreat. The Redwood Family retreat provides a balance of fun activities, projects and learning about grief. Our goal is that the weekend's activities will help family members heal and connect with each other and find comfort in connecting with other grieving families.
Grief Summer Adventure Program
The Grief Summer Adventure Program is a weeklong day program for grieving children, ages 7 to 13 years old. Throughout the week, participants will engage in fun camp activities, as well as activities to explore their grief, learn essential coping skills, and connect with other kids who are also grieving.
Oakleaf Family Retreat
The Oakleaf Family Retreat is for families who have experienced the death of a child. All family members, infant through adult, are invited to attend this overnight retreat. The Oakleaf Family retreat provides a balance of fun activities, projects and learning about grief. Our go is that the weekend's activities will help family members heal and connect with each other and find comfort in connecting with other grieving families.
Infant/Child Loss Support Group Menasha/Fox Valley
An ongoing support group for parents who have experienced the death of a child (ages 0-18 years old). The group is held at the Center for Grieving Children in Menasha every second and/or fourth Tuesdays of the month (except during June, July and August).
Center for Grieving Children Menasha/Fox Valley
For children/teens ages 3-18. Provides age specific groups to support the whole family. Children/teens participate in activities that encourage discussion and the expression of their grief every Tuesday evening.

Join us to discuss the journey of child loss, coping strategies and building resiliency. Hosted by a bereaved momma, with featured monthly guest speakers to support your healing journey. Grief is the elephant in the room; we are here to talk about it.
