Family resource centers offer an opportunity for parents to learn to be the best possible parents they can be. Parents can connect with resources, access programs, and enjoy family activities with their children at no cost. Programming includes parenting classes, parent information sessions on topics that are valuable to parents and parent-child interaction activities such as Play and Learn along with Wiggle, Giggle and Shake, a music and movement program. We also offer developmental screening for children ages 4 months to 5 years. Programming is developed on an ongoing basis in response to community needs and requests.

Healthy Families is a free and voluntary support program that works collaboratively with families to encourage healthy prenatal and child development, strengthen parenting skills and connect families to community resources and support. Personalized services can be provided until the child reaches age 5. We will visit with you in your home, in the community or at our office – wherever feels most comfortable and convenient for you. We share parenting and child development support and information, supply the family with activity ideas that promote child development and a strong parent-child attachment. Women are eligible to enroll any time during pregnancy. To get started, please complete the referral form.

This is a contracted service focusing on providing parents and caregivers with knowledge of parenting skills and family well-being along with other individualized needs and goals determined by the family. The Family Interaction Program is a component of the Family Support Program which offers a safe environment for visits between children who are placed in Out-of-Home Care and their families. The visitation setting offers an opportunity to practice and increase parent's skills while staff provide parent education on how to effectively meet the needs of their children.

It is common for new moms to have postpartum depression or the “baby blues” before or after giving birth. The Reach Out Stay Strong Essentials for mothers of newborns (ROSE) program helps pregnant women understand it and know what to do if it happens to them.

• Get tips for managing stress
• Practice relaxation techniques

The ROSE program includes four weekly virtual group sessions and one in-person session with your facilitator. New sessions begin every month and are free to attend. Call (715) 361-6300 to enroll.
