Prom 2026
You’re Invited to a Night of Pure Imagination

Friday June 5 - 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
This event will take place for teens (ages 12-21) who are both inpatients and outpatients of Children’s Wisconsin. Prom will take place in our Main Lobby/Café West area at the hospital. The night will consist of dinner, dancing, and more! This event is completely free of charge for all attendees.
Please register to attend before May 30.
If you are admitted to the hospital on the day of the event, you are encouraged to still attend with the permission of your medical team! Please register via the form and ask your unit Child Life Specialist for additional details or questions.
There are consent forms that the parent/guardian of all attendees (both patients and guests) must complete if under the age of 18. Forms must be signed on a physical copy and brought in-person to the event.
- The forms will be available via link on this website shortly; please check back for it!
Dinner, DJ, dancing, photo booth, games, live entertainment and more fun activities!
Yes! Dinner is buffet style with plenty of options. On your registration form, there will be a section to indicate if you have any allergies. If you are living with food allergies, a team member will provide you with an allergy-free food menu to select from prior to the event. We do not allow any carry-in food.
Patients may bring ONE date/guest who is between the ages of 12 and 21. This guest does not have to be a patient of Children’s Wisconsin. Guest information will be included when the patient completes the registration form. Guests must also have a signed consent form.
Please feel free to dress as formal or informal as you’d like! Our theme is Willy Wonka. In the past, our guests wore things such as:
- Dresses
- Skirts
- Suits
- Collared shirts and nice pants
You are more than welcome to dress to the theme as well. Come as you are! Hair, makeup, and dress services will also be available upon request for both patients and guests.
Please indicate your interest in these services when you register for the event. A team member will coordinate a time for you to arrive prior to prom beginning to receive your hair and/or makeup services.
Parents are able to be with their child while “getting ready” if they choose to receive hair and makeup services. During the actual event, we do our best to keep it a safe space for teens only. Parents are encouraged to attend our parent event in the Family Resource Center (FRC). Pizza, salad, beverages and activities will be provided.
