If you think your child could benefit from a Go Baby Go! car, you may have questions about who qualifies, how the process works and what to expect. This section explains the basic requirements, the steps your family will take and how we’ll work together to give your child the gift of independent mobility.
Can my child get a car?
Children who qualify are between 9 months and 5 years old and have difficulty moving on their own.
We make cars for kids with:
- Cerebral palsy
- Spina bifida
- Genetic syndromes
- Down syndrome
- Congenital heart defect
- Prematurity
- Autism
- Other neurologic or orthopedic conditions.
Must have sufficient head control and to be at least working toward independent sitting.
How do we get a Go Baby Go! Car?
To receive a car, families will:
- Complete the family application
- Bring their child to a 30-minute fitting at Marquette University, Fox Valley Technical College or a Children’s Wisconsin location
- Pick up the car about four weeks after the fitting (your child does not need to be present for pick-up)
- Help your child use the car safely and supervise them during play
