The Children's Wisconsin Dermatology Program is one of the largest pediatric practices in the country. Our board-certified dermatologists, who are also faculty members at the Medical College of Wisconsin, see nearly 15,000 patients each year. They are internationally known for their work and are continually conducting research to develop better treatments.
What to Expect
On your child's first visit, you will meet with a team that may include a pediatric dermatologist, resident physician, physician assistant or nurse. They will take a complete medical history and perform a physical exam. If needed, same-day blood tests or treatments may be ordered. After reviewing the medical history, exam results and test results, the dermatologist will create a treatment plan and discuss it with your family.
Comprehensive Care
Some skin conditions in children require the expertise of multiple specialists for the best outcome. Children's Wisconsin dermatology specialists offer programs to ensure your child will be seen as quickly as possible, by the most appropriate specialists, in one visit.
- General pediatric dermatology
- Birthmarks and vascular anomalies
- Hemangiomas of infancy program
- Hyperhidrosis clinic
- Laser clinic
- Surgery clinic
Our team approach ensures your child is seen as quickly as possible by the right specialists, often in a single visit. As a teaching institution, we involve doctors in training, but you can be assured that care is always supervised by a board-certified dermatologist.
