Gil Peri became President and CEO of Children’s Wisconsin, the only health system in the state 100 percent dedicated to kids and teenagers, in August 2024. He leads nearly 8,000 team members who support kids and families through world-class medical care, impactful advocacy, transformative research and purpose-driven education.

Gil’s career has been defined by his passion for being a team-first leader who creates a One Team culture, establishing strong performance excellence operating systems, and implementing strategic growth and partnership platforms that improve child health and well-being. Under his leadership, Children’s Wisconsin is advancing its services across the continuum of care – from primary, specialty and hospital care to mental and behavioral health to community-based services.

Throughout his professional journey, Gil has had the opportunity to serve on the executive teams of several top children’s health systems. He is known for being an inspiring leader who drives organizational commitment to quality, service, engagement and belonging.

Gil is a strong advocate for kids and families through his engagement in numerous community organizations. He currently serves on the boards of the national Children’s Hospitals’ Solutions for Patient Safety, Wisconsin Hospital Association, Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce, United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County, and the Medical College of Wisconsin. He also supports the development of future health care leaders through his role as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Institute for Health and Humanity at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Gil earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, Master of Public Health in Health Administration, and Master of Business Administration in Strategy, Health Care and Entrepreneurship from University of South Florida.
