24/7 Online Urgent Care

COVID-19 update
If your child has COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough or shortness of breath), confirmed exposure or both, you can seek guidance from a pediatric provider 24/7 through Children’s Online Urgent Care.

For most kids, the symptoms of COVID-19 are mild and the provider will likely recommend they stay home, limit their contact with others (especially at-risk populations such as the sick or elderly) and treat the symptoms with over-the-counter medication. The provider will determine if additional steps, including a COVID-19 test, are needed.

Please do not come to a Children's Wisconsin location without calling first.

Online Urgent Care video visits

  • Online urgent care is a live video chat with pediatric provider.
  • Get care and advice for minor conditions for ages 0 - 17.

Cost of online urgent care

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the cost of online urgent care is reduced to $20. Payment is required in the form of debit/credit card or HSA card at the time of the online appointment.

This $20 cost may be covered by insurance, but it is up to you to check with your insurance provider. Your child does not have to be a current patient.

How it works

Video visits work on your smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer. All providers are able to give a diagnosis, create a care plan and prescribe medications when appropriate. If the provider does not feel a video visit is appropriate, you will not be charged for the visit.

  1. Create an account on Children’s From Home
Enroll at Childrensfromhome.com or with the Children’s From Home app. Signing up takes only a few minutes. Create an account for yourself — you’ll be able to add your child when you begin a visit.

  2. Choose “Children’s Online Urgent Care”
When you’re ready to start a visit, select the “Children’s Online Urgent Care” option to see a list of pediatric experts. A parent or guardian should be present at the time of the video visit.

  3. Get treatment
Select a pediatric provider from the list. You will be prompted to add your child’s information at this time.  Be sure to choose 'this visit is for your child, not yourself,' when registering for a visit with the pediatrician. After a short questionnaire, you’ll be connected with the provider. Fees are due at the time of service.
