Services

Deb strongly believes that care well beyond the treatment of childhood cancer is pertinent. The patient needs multidisciplinary care provided to assist with the adjustment from on therapy to off therapy and to provide guidance for follow-up care. The need for continued follow-up after the completion of therapy and the transition well in to continued survivorship is necessary for the physical, emotional and social well being of our patients, family members and caregivers. While there have been remarkable strides made in cancer treatment there is much work and potential for research in the area of cancer survivorship.

It's always a pleasure to visit children's hospital

The care was excellent. The doctor's awesome with my child, very positive, very encouraging, explains everything, talks directly to her, makes her feel important, explains everything and helps her in every way she can. Any questions she can, she has an answer. If not, she looks for one. I would recommend her to anybody. The whole team does just wonderful with the kids. I'm so happy to be a part of that organization. Thank you.

The care team that my son had from the time we checked in to both of his appointments as far as his bone marrow scan, that check-in, and then we checked in for Dr. Schmidt, the phlebotomist who took his blood, the people that came up to help distract him, like with a tablet or a toy, to the nurse that checked us in, to the actual doctor, everybody was extremely helpful, nice, receptive, and we just felt comfortable with them. I appreciate all of them.

I just wanted to say that Deb and all the other providers that we've ever had at Children's have given my son a really great experience so much that he actually isn't that afraid to come even though he gets poked. So I always tell everyone I know that Children's Hospital is doing a great job because something that you would think kids would be afraid to come to, he actually looks forward to the appointments because he feels so well taken care of and loves that. So keep up the good work.

Always a positive experience when we have appointments. We trust the suggestions and opinions of the personnel for our son's care. Thank you for being a place of trust, honestly, and respect for our son's care even when circumstances and diagnoses are not always easy or pleasant.

It's not for the best thing but I never have issues dealing the ladies at check, the nurses (especially the nurse tasked with pokes) & the Dr. Always welcomed & never bad attitudes

Care was excellent. Team knew my child intimately and it was a wonderful experience, as always. Great listening skills, and kindly pointed out things to watch for, even though we all want to focus on the fact that "everything is normal now."

My daughter has been a patient in this department for 8 years now and we've always had a great experience with the staff at children's! Even the other staff we encountered in passing are extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for always being amazing and taking such great care of my daughter.
