I grew up in the Milwaukee area but left to pursue my medical education out of state. I practiced primary care in New Mexico for 4 years before returning home. I joined Children's Wisconsin as an urgent care physician for 2 years prior to starting at River Glen as general pediatrician. I enjoyed the experience in urgent care but missed the long-term relationships with children and families that you find in primary care. I love watching children grow from tiny babies to independent teens. It is so rewarding to establish relationships with families for a shared goal of healthy and happy children and teens. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family including my husband and 2 children, read, and do crossword puzzles.

My son has a rare disorder, and from the very beginning, the doctor and her staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt supported, informed, and truly cared for. She never once rushed us, took her time to break everything down into simple, clear explanations, even using examples so I could fully understand what was happening and what our next steps would be.What stood out most was her dedication. Even as the day ran late and it was well past normal hours, she made sure that both my son and I received the best possible care. She didn't stop there; she proactively reached out to a specialty clinic to ensure that our further needs would be addressed without delay. That level of commitment and compassion is rare, and it gave me such peace of mind during a very overwhelming situation.The supporting staff were equally amazing: kind, patient, and attentive. From check-in to the end of our visit, I felt that we were in the hands of a team that genuinely cares about their patients.I am so grateful for Dr. Berge And her team.
