Being a pediatrician is truly the best job in the world!

It is so much more than colds, ear infections and “stomach bugs”. While I enjoy helping children feel better it is even more rewarding keeping them healthy! In raising children I believe that often there is no “right” answer to many of the parenting questions. I will offer my expertise, both professional and personal, but raising a child is individual. I will partner with you to make the best decisions for both you and your child. I am in the midst of the craziness of raising four young children. I can often say “I've been there!”

I am a life long resident of the great state of Wisconsin. I grew up in Burlington and went to UW-LaCrosse to study Biomedical Sciences. I met my husband while working as an EMT in Milwaukee. I went to medical college at Medical College of Wisconsin and completed residency at Children's Wisconsin. After residency I spent two years as a hospitalist in the Intensive Care Unit and five years working in the Emergency Room at Children's Wisconsin, honing my skills in caring for acute problems and injuries. With this experience I can say that I'm not bad at removing the odd bead or corn kernel from your child's ear or nose!

As a teenager I watched my younger sister suffer the ravages of childhood cancer. Due to the amazing care she received at Children's Wisconsin twenty years ago she is now a thriving, healthy adult. Though terrifying at the time it sparked an interest and I am honored to be a pediatrician at the very same hospital that saved her life so long ago.
