Overview

Services

I’ve had the privilege of being a transplant surgeon for over 20 years. In this role, I have the opportunity to participate in a miracle almost every day through the Gift of Organ Transplantation. A careful review of outcomes and through countless recipient stories, it is certain the lives of patients are transformed following surgery with expectant improvement in life years and quality of life. I understand the thought of solid organ transplant can be overwhelming for families. It is important to know that at Children’s Wisconsin, your child will be surrounded by a team of experts throughout the entire process.

It is my goal to make sure there’s a complete understanding of the process and the steps we’ll take together. As part of that team in the care of your child, we want there to be comfort and confidence to ask questions along the way. We will spend time sharing conversations about potential living organ donation and paired living donor exchange which ensures a potential donor does not need to be a close relative, but could be a friend, a co-worker or even someone who chooses to donate anonymously. I am grateful for the opportunity to care for your child and look forward to sharing more information about solid organ transplantation.
