Accepting new patients

I was raised in the Northeast suburbs of Chicago but have called Wisconsin home since moving to Milwaukee for college at Marquette. I graduated with a degree in Biomedical Engineering, attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and performed my residency in Pediatrics right here in town as well at Children’s Wisconsin. Following my residency, I decided to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Sports Medicine at Lurie Children’s Wisconsin of Chicago/Northwestern University. I am excited to have settled in the Milwaukee area and to be practicing with the Bayshore team.

My wife and I met while at Marquette, and she is a nurse in the Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Children’s Wisconsin. We were blessed with two children over the last few years and currently live in Tosa where my wife grew up. We enjoy spending time with our family and friends, hiking, camping, kayaking, and traveling to state and national parks.

I decided to go into Pediatrics because I believe that caring for children, and specifically being a parent, is the most important job in the world…which I believe even more now having our son and daughter at home. Also, if it makes anyone feel any better, raising kids is still a day-to-day adventure for a Pediatrician and a Pediatric nurse.

As a Pediatrician, I look forward to spending time forming relationships with my patients and their families. I hope to be someone that parents can trust when they have questions or when their child is sick. With a background in engineering, I love work hard to find solutions to problems that best fit each individual situation. I plan to use my fellowship training in Pediatric Sports Medicine to both treat and prevent sports injuries and to encourage healthy, age-appropriate activity for my patients. Each Tuesday, I hold a Pediatric Sports Medicine Clinic in Mequon and take care of children with sports injuries, concussions, and broken bones as a part of the Children’s Wisconsin Pediatric Sports Medicine Group.

I feel very fortunate and humbled for the opportunity to dedicate myself to caring for the children of our community.
