Services

Chris Hill is a nationally certified and state-licensed athletic trainer who joined Children's Wisconsin in July 2020 during the inception of athletic training outreach services to the School District of Waukesha. Chris provides clinical support within Children’s Sports Medicine Program and athletic training services to Waukesha North High School.

Growing up in small-town Iowa sports played a large role in Chris’s life. It was through injury exposure to athletic training while in college that sparked an interest in the profession - one that would merge her passion for sports, interest in health care, and desire to help others. Chris received a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a concentration in Athletic Training along with a coaching authorization from Coe College, where she competed in volleyball and softball. After Coe, Chris completed her board certification exam (hours of experience) eligibility requirement at Iowa Wesleyan College. Upon certification, Chris worked at IWC as an assistant athletic trainer while earning a secondary education licensure in science. While at IWC she also served as an assistant softball coach, as well as coached middle school girls’ basketball and softball. Chris moved to Wisconsin thereafter and began working in the clinical-high school outreach setting.

Chris joins Children’s after 22 years between Orthopedics Associates of Wisconsin and ProHealth Care. She has experience in the orthopedic, outpatient physical therapy, and oncology rehabilitation clinical settings, all the while providing medical coverage to Waukesha North High School. The energy of youth athletes keep her going. Being able to interact and watch them mature both on and off the playing field over their high school career is one of the most rewarding parts of Chris’s job. She desires to positively influence their lives while providing compassionate, quality care be it at any or all aspects of injury care.
