Accepting new patients
Krista provides a safe and validating environment for children and teens to explore and process through their emotions, thoughts, and experiences in order to improve their emotional and behavioral health. She provides individual therapy for children and teens aged 3 to 18 years old, as well as family therapy. Krista provides School Based Mental Health Counseling (individual and group) in a variety of contracted schools in the Eau Claire and Altoona School District.
Krista has been licensed professional counselor since 2007, and is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She has extensive experience in working with children and teens who present with histories of trauma and abuse, mood disorders, grief issues, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), self-harm/suicide ideation, attachment disorders and many other concerns that impact individual and family well being. In order to meet each individuals needs, Krista uses a variety of approaches including Play Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She believes it is important to collaborate with parents, other caregivers, and team members to provide the best possible care and promote positive change for children and teens.
