About
Ever since I was young, I knew that I wanted to be a pediatrician. I love that it is an enjoyable and rewarding profession that encompasses a unique broad spectrum of medicine: everything from monitoring a newborn baby’s growth to removing the infamous bead or other foreign object from a toddler’s nose to ensuring that a young adolescent is adapting to his or her changing body. I enjoy my days with patients, listening to their concerns and creating bonds with families that will last for years to come.
A little about myself: I grew up in Brookfield, where I actually met my future husband on the first day of kindergarten! I knew that I wanted to become a Badger, and so after graduating from Brookfield Central High School, I attended University of Wisconsin-Madison for my bachelor’s degree in neuroscience. I later returned to the Milwaukee area to study medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed my pediatric residency at Children’s Wisconsin. I have also taken classes to become a certified lactation consultant.
My husband and I now live in Brookfield and enjoy time with our two sons. You might see us at Wirth Park either swimming at the pool in the summer or sledding down the hill in the winter snow.
Being a wife and mom, I bring not only academic knowledge to my patients but also personal trials and insight. I believe having a close physician-patient relationship is critical for complete medical care. I am an advocate for patients, helping control chronic health conditions and maintain healthy lifestyles. Establishing good health habits is the foundation of a long, prosperous life. Starting with a newborn’s first visit, I will build that foundation together with families and create the best individualized care for each patient. I look forward to the opportunity to a part of your family’s health care.
