This was one of the very best experiences I've had with a medical provider.
I can't count the number of doctors I've seen for my SOB and hypothyroidsm. From Froedtert, Ascension, UW-Madison to Mayo. I've been told over and over its not my thyroid, I need to exercise more. I've been basically told "You can leave now" by one M.D and deemed "a difficult patient because I kept insisting it's my thyroid causing my SOB" by another. Dr Voss sent me for allergy testing by Dr. Pelz to find if an allergy was the cause. Dr Pelz changed my thyroid med which helped a lot since I had a problem with some of the fillers in the medication I was taking. However, the SOB remained. Dr. Pelz then tested me for allergies. Those were negative. After ruling out an allergy he told me it was my thyroid and showed me an article that stated 40% of hypothyroid patients suffer from SOB. He gave me 2 options which I'm confident will work. After 9 years of being dramatically limited in my activities and searching for help, I finally found 2 doctors that will listen and work together for the patient. I couldn't be more thankful for Dr. Pelz and his expertise.
Dr. Pelz is an exceptional provider.
Highly competent, able to listen without interrupting,
Very personable. Takes time to truly listen and try to understand the problem. Prompt, thorough responses to questions.
