At Children’s Wisconsin, our vision is that Wisconsin kids will be the healthiest in the nation. But we know we can't achieve that vision alone. Purposeful partnerships and collaborations are essential to our vision of the healthiest kids, such as partnerships with schools, community organizations and other health systems. By nurturing existing partnerships and forming new ones, we can continue to advance our vision and mission.
Partnerships and Collaborations
Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliation
Children’s Wisconsin is proud to partner with the Medical College of Wisconsin to bring many of the world’s most renowned pediatric doctors, advanced practice providers and scientists to Wisconsin kids and families. Our doctors and other providers are expert clinicians — and many also teach the next generation of medical leaders and perform research that advances care. Children’s Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin share a common dedication to improving the health and well-being of Wisconsin’s children and families.
Connected for Kids
Through our partnership in Connected for Kids with ThedaCare and Emplify Health by Bellin, Children’s Wisconsin is able to improve the health and well-being of more children and teens in Northeast and Central Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
The goal of Connected for Kids is to provide a better patient experience that saves families valuable time, energy and cost, allowing them to focus on what matters most — supporting their loved ones.
Children and families continue to see the doctors and care providers they know and trust at Children’s Wisconsin, Bellin Health and ThedaCare. But now through our partnership in Connected for Kids, we’re able to:
- Bring additional pediatric services and specialists to the region to expand access to local, close-to-home care
- Reduce the need for children and their families to travel outside the region when a higher level of care is needed
- Apply consistent, best-practice standards of care across each organization in the region
- Provide tailored child and adolescent services that meet community-specific needs
- Deliver better and more efficient care through seamless coordination across each organization
Forward Pediatric Alliance
Forward Pediatric Alliance is a collaboration between Children’s Wisconsin and UW Health Kids to expand access to world-class congenital heart care.
Forward Pediatric Alliance is an example of what can be achieved when two leading pediatric health care providers join forces to improve health outcomes for congenital heart disease patients along the continuum of care from fetal life through adulthood.
UW Health Kids and Children’s Wisconsin remain independent health care organizations. Although separate organizations, we are working together to create a collaborative program across two campuses that will enable us to:
- Expand patient access to world-class pediatric cardiac care and adult congenital heart care
- Build elite clinical care teams to increase quality and achieve great health outcomes
- Advance research and innovation, as well as train the next generation of health care clinicians
- Deliver an overall better patient experience
