Biopsy

In order to confirm a diagnosis, your child’s doctor may take small samples of tissue to examine in the lab for abnormalities. Tissue samples be can obtained with a special biopsy needle that goes through the skin or during an endoscopic procedure. Your child’s doctor can use anesthetic to numb the area and reduce any discomfort.
