For over 30 years, Children's Wisconsin has been committed to the training of health administration professionals. The administrative fellowship program is an important recruitment tool for our organization to bring in potential management talent. We are seeking fellowship candidates who would seriously consider post fellowship employment opportunities with us, should the fit be mutually agreeable and a position available .

The Administrative Fellowship at Children's is a two-year educational program designed to provide masters-trained individuals with an exposure to the various functions of a comprehensive pediatric health system.

Children's is the region's only independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children. In Milwaukee and throughout the state, we provide kids and families a wide range of care and support – everything from routine care to lifesaving advances and treatment options. Our academic partner, Medical College of Wisconsin, brings many of the nation's most well-respected doctors to our team. Together, we work to ensure that every child and family we serve receives nothing but the best. The health system provides care to patients, clients and families in a variety of community settings:

Program objectives

  • Support fellows in developing a comprehensive understanding of pediatric health care operations.
  • Provide a variety of learning opportunities through exposure to both clinical and non-clinical settings.
  • Prepare fellows for future health care leadership roles specifically in pediatric systems.

Leadership

The fellow will be accountable to the Chief Operating Officer and supervised by two preceptors. In addition, the fellow will have access to many other senior leaders through their project work whom will provide guidance throughout the fellowship.
