What Is It?

The Crohn’s Disease Exclusion Diet (CDED) is a diet to help treat Crohn’s Disease. You will change what you eat and drink for a set amount of time. This will help your body heal. Some foods will not be eaten for a set amount of time. Then foods will be added back in phases over a set amount of time. Your dietitian will tell you how long to follow each phase of the diet. They will also help you learn which foods to eat and those you cannot eat. There are 3 phases to this diet. The first and second phase last 6 weeks each. Then, there is a maintenance phase.
