Chief Medical Officer

Shelly Linsmeier, MD, serves as Chief Medical Officer for Children’s Wisconsin. In this role, Dr. Linsmeier is the medical leader to the Children’s Wisconsin provider teams at the organization’s Milwaukee, Fox Valley and Surgicenter campuses. She works closely with administrative and provider partners across the system to ensure excellent performance standards and high-quality, patient-centered care that aligns with our strategic objectives and quality outcomes. She also provides executive oversight for the administrative and regulatory functions of the Medical Staff Office.

Previously, Dr. Linsmeier served as Associate Chief Medical Officer at Children’s Wisconsin, where she has been a board-certified pediatrician since 2004. In addition to her clinical and administrative roles, Dr. Linsmeier is an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin, helping to foster the growth and education of future providers. Dr. Linsmeier received her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she also completed her residency in Pediatrics.
