Get to know Andrew MacGinnitie, MD, from Allergy Immunolgy

MacGinnitieAndrew MacGinnitie, MD, joined Children’s Wisconsin in January 2024, as a pediatric allergy immunology specialist and also a Chief, Professor in Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. MacGinnitie, who comes to us from Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital, brings tremendous experience, knowledge, and energy to this leadership role as part of the Allergy Immunology team.  

He has been a prolific researcher, with his recent funded research focused on food allergies. Dr. MacGinnitie has served on multiple scientific advisory boards.

As a clinician, he is focused on treating disorders of the immune system, including food, insect and respiratory allergies, eczema, asthma, and immune deficiencies. Additionally, Dr. MacGinnitie has a reputation as a well-rounded clinician, educator and mentor and a sought-after presenter, committee member and leader.
