Liz Hovel, MD, MPH, is an Adolescent Medicine Pediatrician at Children's Wisconsin and an Assistant Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She offers a wide array of adolescent medicine services, ranging from disordered eating to substance use, but has a particular interest in reproductive health.
She has special training in the placement and removal of long-acting reversible contraceptives and is happy to collaborate with other physicians and providers who feel their patients would benefit from these methods or from complex contraceptive management.
Dr. Hovel will be offering these services in our general Adolescent Medicine clinic, at the Forest Home clinic on Milwaukee's South Side, and in the MACC Fund Center for patients affected by cancer and/or requiring bone marrow transplantation.
