Neonatal Developmental Follow-up Programs: HOPE and DREAMS

What is HOPE Developmental Follow-Up Clinic? (2025/26 Pocket Directory page 83)

HOPE (Healthy Outcomes Post-ICU Engagement) Developmental Follow-Up Clinic is a neonatal developmental follow-up program for babies who spent time in the Neonatal ICU (NICU), Cardiac ICU, or Pediatric ICU (PICU) after birth and are at risk for developmental delays.

This clinic is very important during the child’s first two years — when they are growing quickly and learning many new skills. Research has shown that children with a history of complex medical conditions are at high risk for developmental problems. Our team will make sure children receive the right therapies.

DREAM Clinic: Developmentally Ready Engagement for Achievement of Milestones

Our DREAM program is a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic that cares for babies with complex neurological conditions that requires the skills of multiple specialists across many disciplines. We work to ensure children will be followed by their individualized care team from NICU discharge through 5 years of age.
