President, Chorus Community Health Plans

Bill Hanna serves as President of Chorus Community Health Plans (CCHP), a health plan that offers BadgerCare Plus (Medicaid) health coverage for individuals and families. His responsibilities include setting the vision, direction and strategies required to achieve CCHP’s goals related to quality, service, operations and financial performance. He collaborates with leaders across Children’s Wisconsin to ensure we are maximizing opportunities to address social drivers of health and continuing to build an integrated system of care.

Bill’s experience includes a unique combination of Medicaid expertise, government and commercial insurance experience and operational leadership. Previously, he served as Practice Director for Payer Strategy and Program Design at ATI Advisory and as Wisconsin’s Medicaid Director. He also has held executive leadership roles at UnitedHealthcare and with the D.C. Department of Health Care Finance, Dane County Department of Human Services, and Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Bill is known for aligning mission, financial sustainability and operational execution to improve outcomes for Medicaid members.

Bill holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Georgia in Athens and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wis. Bill is active in the community, including serving on the board of the Centers for Independence.
