I was trained to be an obstetrician and gynecologist in India, but changed my medical training to Pediatrics when I came to the U.S. This dual training allowed me to have a greater perspective in pediatric care from conception to adolescence. Thus, it is gratifying to see my innocent neonates blossoming into mischievous teenagers. Having worked in medically underserved areas for a significant portion of my career, I have seen the interface and influence of rape, poverty and culture in childhood, and I feel the satisfaction of treating these vulnerable children in my job. Outside my work, I enjoy cooking, watching Bollywood movies, volunteering at Hindu Temple of Wisconsin and hanging out with my family and friends.
