Dr. Gedeit is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care. He has a special interest in continually improving care for hospitalized children. He is a national leader in the area of reducing central line associated bloodstream infections in children. He advocates for improving transparency of outcomes data so that families can make educated decisions on obtaining healthcare for their children. He works for active family involvement in the care and decision making for their children and stresses good communication between healthcare workers and families.
Dr. Gedeit is active in research to determine the best ways to manage severe infections and comfort in critically ill children.
