Children's is part of an academic environment, serving as one of the academic partners of the Medical College of Wisconsin. Physicians and health care providers lead nationally recognized programs and are making Children's Wisconsin one of America's top pediatric hospitals through care, advocacy, research, and education.

Pediatricians and primary care providers

Pediatric specialists and specialty care providers
Pediatric specialists and specialty care providers are employed by Medical College of Wisconsin. These providers serve as members of Children's Specialty Group, a joint venture with Children's Wisconsin.

Dentists, hospitalists, urgent care doctors, and physician leaders
Pediatric dentists, hospitalists, some urgent care doctors and physician leaders are hired by Children's Wisconsin. 

Connected for Kids & Appleton Clinic Urgent Care Physicians and APPs
Through Connected for Kids, a pediatric joint venture between Children’s Wisconsin, Bellin Health and ThedaCare, work is underway to improve the health and well-being of children and adolescents in Northeast and Central Wisconsin. This partnership is making a meaningful impact on care for area kids through numerous initiatives, such as increasing access to care closer to home and collaborating on pediatric best practices, including for delivery of urgent care services.

Children’s Wisconsin will open a pediatric urgent care in its Appleton Clinic in fall 2025. Urgent care services for kids of all ages, from newborns to adolescents, will be available seven days a week at the clinic, providing a timely and convenient new option for families. Physician leaders and urgent care doctors and APPs at the Appleton Clinic Pediatric Urgent Care are hired by ThedaCare.
