About
Joining Southwest Pediatrics has been a dream come true! When I was a patient at Southwest Pediatrics, my pediatrician was kind, trustworthy, patient, calming, and supportive. At my 12-year well child check, he asked me if I ever thought of being a pediatrician. Now, I am excited to join Southwest Pediatrics and provide care to another generation.
My approach is to be kind and get to know my patients and their families. I enjoy supporting new parents during the first days of life with their newborn baby. I love joining toddlers and their parents in laughing and being goofy as they explore the world. I am always excited to hear about my school-age patients’ latest interests and activities. As my patients grow into their teens, I strive to be a trustworthy advocate. I do this by building respectful and nonjudgmental connections with them. I am grateful to see them grow into healthy and happy adults.
Outside of clinic, I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy being outdoors, gardening, hiking, rowing, making music, cooking, and working on 50-year-old snow blowers.

This doctor was not my child's primary doctor, but he had time in his day to see my sick child. We were so happy to be seen last minute, and this doctor was amazing! He clearly has compassion for his patients and even made jokes with my child to help her feel comfortable. He took his time with my child, and also took time to sit and explain everything to me about her issue. I would recommend this doctor to anyone. He was great.
My son (usually sees Dr. Patti Young) had some respiratory difficulties with his current illness. I arrived with no appointment, outside of urgent care hours, and quite a bit frazzled about his respiratory status. The staff went above and beyond to help me, starting with the front desk who saw my concern and arranged an immediate same day visit, and all the way to Dr. Julga who took the time to speak with us about my son's case and treatment. Very appreciative of everyone working on this specific day. You alleviated a ton of stress and truly helped us out.
