Overview

Dr. Kelly Mrachek joined Children's Hospital - Medical College of Wisconsin in August 2022 with a joint appointment specializing in pediatric and adult neuropathology. Dr. Mrachek is a graduate of Creighton University School of Medicine, and he completed a combined anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Penrose-St. Francis Pathology Residency Program in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dr. Mrachek completed subspecialty fellowship training in neuropathology at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia, and he also completed pediatric pathology fellowship training at Children's Hospital Colorado - University of Colorado, Aurora, Colorado. Dr. Mrachek's primary clinical and research interests include translational research to advance the care of the adult and pediatric brain tumor patient population, pediatric gliomas, pituitary adenomas, and neuropathology diagnostics in autopsy pathology. In his spare time, Dr. Mrachek is a family man enjoying time with his wife and two children. In addition, Dr. Mrachek is also an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, and spending time on the family farm.
