Acetaminophen (Tylenol) can be used every 4 to 6 hours. Read all medicine labels to make sure you are not taking more than one medicine with acetaminophen at a time. Most children are given a narcotic, such as oxycodone, to use for severe pain. If the oxycodone also has acetaminophen on the prescription label, do not give other acetaminophen within 4 hours. If you have questions, ask the pharmacist. If you have questions about this or other medicine, please talk with your doctor.
