Children’s Wisconsin offers free resources for parents and caregivers with children birth to 16 years old. Triple P – Positive Parenting Program has expanded its support offerings to include a brand-new workshop designed specifically for parents and caregivers of children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Parenting a child with ADHD can bring unique challenges, especially when familiar strategies don’t seem to work. This workshop aims to equip families with practical tools and tips to help create a supportive home environment where children with ADHD can thrive. Every child and family is different, and this session recognizes that one size does not fit all. Participants will have the opportunity to develop a customized parenting plan, choosing from a range of strategies that best fit their family’s needs.
It’s important to note that this workshop is not a treatment for ADHD, but rather an introduction to supportive parenting techniques.
What to Expect in the Workshop:
- An overview of the Triple P – Positive Parenting Program
- Understanding what ADHD is and how it affects children
- Insights on daily life with ADHD and where to find additional support
- Tips on collaborating with your child’s school
- Strategies for building a positive and supportive family environment
Whether parents and caregivers are just beginning a journey or looking for new ideas, this workshop offers a supportive space to learn, share, and grow.
