Bullying prevention
Children’s Wisconsin’s Bullying prevention online lessons, activities and games are designed for K-12th grade students, school staff, parents and caregivers.
This Bullying prevention content helps counselors and teachers increase awareness about bullying and gives students the grade-appropriate skills they need to prevent and stop it.
These lessons, games and activities address different types of bullying, including sexual harassment at the middle school level and cyberbullying at the middle school and high school levels. This content empowers bystanders to stand up to bullying and improve the climate of their school.
Supplemental activities for classroom use are available to reinforce what is learned in online lessons, activities and games.
Children’s Bullying prevention content aligns with National Health Education Standards and supports the Wisconsin Model Academic Standards for School Counseling. Visit the Connection to standards page for more information.
Learning activities by grade level
Kindergarten
"Friendship Flow" song
"Friendship Flow" is a fun, high energy song that talks about being a good friend and standing up for those who are bullied.
"Zink the Zebra" story
The “Zink the Zebra” story is about a zebra that has spots instead of stripes, resulting in her being treated differently than other zebras. It can be used as a starting point for learning about differences.
Friends lesson
The Friends lesson teaches students what it means to be a good friend.
Bullying lesson
The Bullying lesson teaches students what bullying is and what actions they can take when they see a bullying situation, or if they are bullied.
Tattling and telling lesson
The Tattling and telling lesson teaches students the difference between tattling and telling.
Orange tree game
The Orange tree game is a question and answer game that checks students’ knowledge on bullying, friendly behaviors and tattling and telling.
Brain break activity
Gus the bird leads students through the short activity that reinforces the fact that everyone is different.

2nd grade

Tattling and telling lesson
The Tatting and telling lesson teaches the difference between tattling and telling.
Carnival darts game
In the Carnival darts game, students will answer questions about what they have learned about bullying prevention to score points and earn virtual game prizes.

"We Will Rise" song
“We Will Rise” is an inspiring hip hop song, written and performed by The Figureheads, that talks about standing up to bullying by encouraging those who’ve been exposed to bullying to stand up together and share their stories.
What is bullying? lesson
The What is bullying? lesson teaches students what bullying is and what a bully, victim and bystander are.
Busted! game
In the Busted! game, students will attempt to pop the bubbles with bullying behaviors in them while avoiding the bubbles with positive behaviors, or acts of friendship, in them.
Action lesson
The Action lesson teaches students what actions they can take when they witness a bullying situation, whether they are the victim or a bystander.
Care lesson
The Care lesson teaches students how to show support to victims of bullying by helping the victim leave the situation, talking to the victim after the incident, inviting them to join their group and offering to go with them to report the bullying.
Tell lesson
The Tell lesson helps students understand the difference between tattling and telling. The importance of telling trusted adults when bullying is going on is emphasized.
Kickin' it game
Kickin’ it is a fun trivia-style game in which students use their knowledge about bullying prevention to play virtual kickball to beat the defending champions.

Cyberbullying lesson
In this video-based lesson, students will learn what cyberbullying is, how it affects everyone involved and how to stop it.
CyberSnake Game
In this take on the classic snake game, students will need to determine if text messages are cyberbullying or not. They will also be answering a few questions about cyberbullying to start the game.
