Leg Length Differences Program
Children’s Wisconsin offers specialized knowledge in caring for patients with lower extremity developmental conditions and leg length differences. We offer many on-site, in-clinic services that save you and your child precious time. This includes access to immediate radiology services and consultation, casting and bracing with a pediatric orthotist for specialized braces.
Conditions we treat:
- Fibular/tibial hemimelia
- Congenital short femur/proximal femoral focal deficiency
- Posterior medial tibial bowing
- Hemihypertrophy
- Beckwith-Wiedmann syndrome
- Skeletal dysplasias, developmental (no known cause)
- Blount's disease
- Previous infection or growth plate injury which has results in a leg length discrepancy

- Teleoroentgenography (helps determine true leg length)
- EOS (lower dose radiation)
- X-ray (determine bone age)
