Pediatric otolaryngology fellowship

Pediatric otolaryngology fellows spend one year of additional training at the Children's Wisconsin after completion of an otolaryngology residency. The fellow increases his or her knowledge of the care of pediatric conditions of the ear, nose and throat.

Rotations are one to two months in duration, combining ambulatory and inpatient experiences. During each rotation the fellow will have an ambulatory clinic experience with one of the pediatric otolaryngology staff. During those months, the fellow will attend and participate in that faculty member's clinic.

The fellow will have exposure to common disorders of the head and neck in infants and children. The fellow will also get experience with patients who have more complex needs and uncommon disease processes. The Pediatric otolaryngology fellowship program is ACGME accredited.

Continuing nursing education

Children's is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Wisconsin Nurses Association. Participants who successfully complete this activity will receive 6.0 nursing contact hours for this accredited program.
