Movement Matters
Team Survivors: Movement Matters is a free physical activity and nutrition program for survivors with a cancer or bone marrow transplant diagnosis, ages 9 -17. Patients can be off treatment or in maintenance therapy with approval from their primary team. This 12 week program meets once a week to help rebuild strength, endurance, and flexibility. The program incorporates field trips and nutrition education to promote fun and new physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices!
Practices are on Wednesday from 6:15 – 7:15pm starting September 24th through December 17th with breaks for holidays.
The program is open to all skill levels and abilities! The program includes a physical activity starter kit for movement at home and cooking demonstrations, healthy recipes and supplies for nutrition education.
