Overview

Services

Having spent my clinical career in crisis-type settings, I take a trauma-informed approach to working with individuals. Working collaboratively with children and their families, I understand and respect each person’s strengths, goals and personal journeys. My therapeutic approach is person-centered mixed with solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral (CBT) and dialectical behavioral (DBT) therapies.

It’s not easy being a child or teen these days, and I offer them support through depression and suicidality, anxiety, grief and loss, and psychosis. Discussing topics like suicide and death can be extremely uncomfortable, but I provide a nonjudgemental and safe space to openly talk. Additionally, I recently became an ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) trainer and have begun studying thanatology (grief, death and bereavement). Humor, creativity and warmth help balance out these heavy topics, so that healing and growth can begin.
