Services

Hi there! My name is Elisabeth Cartwright, and I’m a therapist here at Children’s Wisconsin. I have experience working with diverse children and families in schools and communities, addressing concerns such as life stressors, anxiety, depression, neurodivergency, trauma and identity. Through this work, I understand that childhood can come with many difficulties, but I also see it as an opportunity to discover new possibilities and build lifelong mental health skills. My goal is to build on your strengths and support you through this journey. I believe in the therapeutic bond as the foundation for growth, so I prioritize forming strong client relationships built on empathy, trust, and authenticity. My approach is strengths-based and person-centered, with a focus on cultural humility and inclusion. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques, including those from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy to tailor my approach to each client’s unique background and needs. I look forward to working with you!
