We provide care for kids to support their vision and well-being at every stage.

Premier care: We provide complete ophthalmologic, optometric and orthoptic care for kids. If your child needs an eye exam or treatment for eye disease, our experts provide the best care.

Active in research: Our experts have the most pediatric eye care experience in the region. We also take part in clinical research studies. This includes national studies funded by the National Institutes of Health.

Advanced training: Our eye doctors (ophthalmologists) have at least three years of hospital residency. They complete a one-year fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and one year in specialized fellowships. They’re also experts in treating eye conditions, including surgery.

Our eye care experts diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions and injuries.

Conditions include:

• Amblyopia: This is commonly known as lazy eye.
• Cataract: This is a clouding of the eye's natural lens.
• Eye injuries: This is harm to the eye or the area around it.
• Glaucoma: This is a group of eye diseases that can hurt the nerve that connects your eye to your brain.
• Inherited retinal problems: These are diseases kids are born with because of changes in their genes.
• Refractive errors: This is a common vision problem where the shape of your eye prevents it from focusing light correctly and causes distorted or blurred vision.
• Retinoblastoma and eye tumors: Retinoblastoma is a cancer of the eye. It is the most common type in kids. Other tumors may be cancerous or non-cancerous.
